ESTABLISH A MULTI-AGENCY NETWORK THAT IDENTIFIES, SCREENS AND REFERS ELIGIBLE CHILDREN FOR POTENTIAL SERVICES

STRATEGIES:

• Develop a Consortium of early childhood serving agencies including Head Start, Education (TANF Pre-K), Mental Health, Public Health, OCS, Parish Domestic Violence Shelter will meet regularly and be the source  of referral to ECSS staff who will have the responsibility for developing and monitoring the Individualized ECSS Family Services Plan.

• Hold ECSS marketing meetings and put together an ECSS state-level coordinating group to facilitate the development of local network infrastructure.

• Conduct ECSS Network Development meetings in all six sites.

• Hire ECSS Program Coordination and staff positions for all six sites.

OUTCOMES:

• The establishment of the ECSS network in following six sites (parishes):

  • Desoto

  • East Baton Rouge

  • Lafayette

  • Ouachita

  • St. Tammany

  • Terrebonne
